The Tudor Black Bay is one of the great modern classics. This original 41mm model has matchless wrist presence, and was cemented as a modern Tudor icon when the world’s premier luxury retail store collaborated with the Swiss manufacturer to produce the regal green and gilt colour way.
This example, numbered 5025, was purchased new in December 2020 and has see minimal wear since. It’s offered for sale now in unpolished condition, preserving the original case and bracelet definition for those who appreciate it, this is particularly noteworthy on Tudor models thanks to the relatively delicate bevelled lugs. There are only very small signs of wear across the clasp and bracelet and this Black Bay Harrods comes with a full length bracelet, all original booklets and cards, inner and outer boxes, and unworn Harrods Tudor NATO strap.
The muted green aluminium bezel is in fantastic condition, and picks out the green typeface and seconds hand tip nicely. When paired with the gilt dial, it’s easy to see the shared heritage Tudor has with its’ sister Swiss manufacturer; Rolex. It’s fair to say Tudor has forged its’ own identity however, taking inspiration from their own rich and lustrous history. These are already appreciated by modern Tudor collectors, and we expect their appeal to broaden exponentially, once production inevitably ends.
To reiterate, very small hairline scratches and small marks are to be seen across the clasp, case and bracelet. Signs of wear not commensurate with age.
